If it Rains on Your Parade Dance in it
In the face of adversity keep striving and trying to succeed in life, the storm has passed, you have waded through and have kept afloat, swiftly and safely to shore, it may have dawned on you how amazingly well everything in your life has transformed from major hurdles to being propelled to the centre of the winner’s table, let’s be thankful that we were strong through adversity.

It’s a cruel cruel world that we live in where George Floyd’s death reminds us how much hatred exists, and the racism that we have to tolerate, it has ruined lives like George Floyd and his loved ones, it has a universal effect which has been highlighted and demonstrated through Black Lives Matter protests, when in our usual lives at times we have had no choice but to remain silent. I have learned that racist people enjoy superiority and holding power and control over black people, just to prove that they hold the cards or dominance, and to justify their their actions, lies and fabrication as we are not viewed as human beings. We have to be extremely strong-willed and very forgiving to not focus on negative issues, and instead keep motivated and enjoying a happy life with on going success that we deserve.
Maya Angelou’s Poem is Still Very Relevant in Times Like These

Still I Rise – Maya Angelou
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?’
Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
Weakened by my soulful cries?
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mine
Diggin’ in my own backyard
.You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clearI rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise
